LSS Green Belt Certification provides a practicable skill set in Lean Six Sigma methodology. Over the course of this program, participants develop a base of knowledge that will allow them to identify problems, deliver data-based analysis of those problems, and implement measurable solutions.
After certification, Green Belts usually function as part-time members of Lean Six Sigma process improvement action teams within their functional area. Green Belts usually work under the supervision and mentorship of a Black Belt, and may be associate team leaders in a closely scoped project or sub-project. In less complex organizations, Green Belts may lead process improvement efforts.
This class is designed for 10-25 participants.

The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training introduces the full suite of Lean and Six Sigma tools, placing Lean tools for process improvement (such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Visual Management, Mistake Proofing, etc.) within the context of the Six Sigma DMAIC framework for data driven process management and project selection. Participants at the Green Belt level learn by doing, completing a real-world project as a central part of certification.
Participants are also expected to complete significant individual work on projects outside of class.
